Chrystabel Dzandu - "Intertwined Identities"
"Intertwined Identities" reflects the layered complexity of selfhood—how personal, cultural, and social identities are constantly merging, overlapping, and evolving. Through abstract forms and dynamic movement, the work explores how identity is not singular or fixed, but a fluid interplay of lived experience, heritage, and individual agency. Drawing from my own journey and the collective memory of my community, this piece visualizes the tension and harmony that exist within the multiple selves we carry. The colors and textures are deliberately interwoven to challenge imposed definitions, inviting viewers to reflect on the ever-shifting nature of who we are becoming.
